Alexie is a fifth year undergraduate majoring in biomolecular engineering and minoring in bio electronics and computer engineering. He spent his first 2 years of his undergraduate career at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, California, where he earned his associate’s degree in chemistry. Besides undergraduate research assistant, Alexie has also worked as a tutor in Math, Chemistry, and Genetics. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, weightlifting, learning foreign languages, and improving his programming skills. Alexie hopes to one day work as a research physician and have the opportunity to combine biology and technology in the fields of biotechnology, bioelectronics, and bioengineering. In the lab, he works on device fabrication using PDMS curing and 3D printers.
